Bratton Family Cemetery (Mansfield Cemetery)

In 1900, John "Jack" Bratton, 1849-1929, deeded a 35'x350' tract of land adjoining the Cumberland Presbyterian Section of the Mansfield Cemetery to C.F. Bratton and Andrew Bratton, as trustees for the Bratton family burials.

The descendants or relatives of Richard and Francis (Brasier) Bratton are buried in this section. The earliest dated burial is for the twin son and daughter of this pioneer couple who came to southeast Tarrant County in 1852. The marker is dated August, 1857-September 22, 1857. It is one of several Bratton family graves moved to the site from the Estes Cemetery in 1913.
